I pretended I was Jeff Bezos when I wrote this song. I used to think he was evil. Then I realized it was me.
“You Made Me This Way” explores our relationship with monsters, people that we think are bad, but who couldn't exist without us.
My third album. Thirteen original songs about temptation, obsession, love, lust, addiction, faith, fear—and monsters, of course.
I wrote these songs over roughly three decades, then spent the last couple of years recording, rewriting, mixing and mastering them. No covers. No filler. Just 13 songs, based entirely on real life.
I played the guitars myself except for two songs—thank you, John Clark! I also mixed the album myself. Others tried. In the end, I went with mine.
13 songs. 38 minutes. All original.
Stream it wherever you listen to music. Or, better yet, download the album directly from me for $10 USD. You'll get the whole album, and you'll be supporting an independent artist directly.
Come on in. Meet the monster.
Take Two brings together 16 previously released singles. They cover themes that range from adultery and envy to heartache and joy. Two are unapologetic political "f*ck you" songs. If you're here for polished clichés, these aren't them.
Don't let the white beard fool you. I'm just a rookie, really. About Time was my debut album. It's about time, literally & figuratively. Figuratively, because I'm late to the party. Literally, because every song is, well, about time, plus what's between the lines.
Kids love this one for the lyrics. I love it for the lead guitar, which my maestro taught me. Plus, I like my little jab at Canada Post. No hard feelings.
